I found this on the GOOD website today. It’s a $500 grant to make a community meal using local ingredients. I thought this might be a good opportunity for us to try at the conference–(maybe Robin would be able to help?) with a fairly simple recipe involving Chiles of course. Maybe doing a workshop about healthy food/nutrition, why buying local ingredients can be helpful, etc with student groups or another organization like SWOP around the preparing of the meal. Any interests?
Also, I’m still looking into potential music groups to show up for one of the evenings at the conference. So far, no committed groups yet. Will report when more info is available.
Is anyone interested in doing more workshops or DIY based project instructions? I have several ideas for these, but I’m not sure how much interest there is in them…let me know.
